South Dakota DECA, a school-to-work student organization, enhances that education by providing marketing related activities and leadership development based directly on classroom study. South Dakota DECA combines career exploration with school-based and work-based learning, allowing students to connect the classroom with the world of work.

 

DECA activities focus on specific occupational skills, leadership development, management training and leadership conferences. Participation in DECA furthers development skills in leadership, management skills, civic consciousness, job responsibility motivation to excel, good work habits, critical thinking and problem solving.
